(From the FLUXspace Press Release for FluxTask 2)

Oliver Herring and his renowned project, TASK, return to FLUXspace this September and we would love to have you attend!

This one night event will take place on Saturday, September 6th from 5-10pm at FLUXspace, 3000 N Hope Street Philadelphia, PA 19133. What begins as a roomful of people and a bucket of interpretable instructions becomes an entirely self-perpetuating event. There will be music, food, activity, and certainly a healthy dose of uncertainty at this participatory, open-ended party!

Flux is proud to be a part of this growing occurrence, TASK, that is not only fun but has also uniquely contributed to the critical contemporary art dialogue that the organization holds as a part of its mission. Oliver Herring and FLUXspace have been working together since summer of 2007. Flux TASK 1 (Dec 2007) brought in close to 400 people during a winter storm! Visit www.fluxtask.com to continue the community started at Flux TASK 1 and revisit past Flux TASK adventures. The website is our multimedia rich and experience reverberating hub for the event.

Additionally, a new series of collaborative video works will be available for screening by appointment at FLUXspace from September 5th - 25th with all dates and times available on the website. Further programming, graciously being hosted by The University of the Arts, taking place on Tuesday, September 9th will include; a lecture given by Herring from 4:30 - 5:30pm, light-fare reception from 5:30-6:00pm, and a panel discussion from 6:00-7:00pm. Those hip hordes in attendance at Flux TASK 2 on September 6th will be presented with all the details regarding September 9th events and www.fluxtask.com is always available for complete, up-to-date information regarding all programming.

We are delighted to present Flux TASK 2.

We hope to see you there!

Sincerely,
FLUXspace Staff
